New combi boiler Vaillant echo tech fitted last year time for annual service was going to take out service plan with Scottish gas the guys just left sticker on boiler told me there’s no pvr pipe fitted so they can’t ok as this pipe must be fitted how can someone who installs boilers forget this...

Hi got new boiler fitted the guy installed new condensate pipe going to ground and cut the old one from cast pipe leaving hole in pipe which leaks water as the bathroom waste goes into it as well saying he can’t plug hole in cast surely he has to fix it ? Any idea best way to fix Cheers

Changed from system to combi boiler the quote included removing tank in loft after it was all done, the tank is still there the main water feed disconnect and out flow pipe but it’s still connected by this pipe don’t know why. Opinions please Cheers

Just replace ballcock in tank to see if it stops overflow dripping, when I drained the tank there was a ring of clear jelly around the water level is this normal ? Also is there a standerd level where the water should rise to say 2” below overflow pipe Cheers

That’s what I’m thinking, only thing is I’ve never come across it, going to have to put thinking cap on for a solution

you need a pic of a hot water tank, have you not seen one before copper cylinder tank will get one tomorrow. Ahhhhh my mistake I just call it the hot water tank but I suppose it’s a cold water tank only gets hot when heating is on

Hi the overflow from the hot water tank in the loft is constantly dripping I think it’s condensation any idea how to stop it.
