Do I need to attach my deck to the house wall?? It is going to be a maximum or 3" off the ground and attached to concreted 4x4 posts. I can't find any info as to why it should or shouldn't. I don't want to do this as I'm not overly confident drilling into my new house!!!

Hi I have/had a driveway made of Tarmac. I have taken the top layer off and discarded it, it was approx 10mm deep. The next layer has been broken up with a kango/breaker. Some of these bits are 120mm x50mm down to 5mm. My question is can this be used as a sub base for a patio? I am thinking...
