There is a click when I turn the dial to start the cycle, but i'm guessing thats just the door locking.

Aye , had that idea after I first posted, water is getting through the pipes fine it appears that the machine is just refusing to accept it :(

My machine has just died, the power light comes on, the door looks but then the machine does nothing, weird thing is I fitted some self cutting taps to the pipes, tested the machine and it ran no problem, when I went to use the machine again nothing happened. Anyone have any ideas whats wrong?
