    IM65 problem with firmahold gas

Well you've narrowed it down to the gas. So if Paslode works but another doesn't then try an alternative provider. I have an IM350 and buy Senco nail packs from eBay, cheap but good.

    Fence Post depth

500mm is enough considering it is a picket fence. Make sure the hole you are putting the posts in is about minimum 400mm diameter.

    deck construction

Hi, Is there a particular reason why you don't want to concrete in 100 x 100 posts as your uprights? I assume it it because you already have paving but I think it would be more secure?

    Bi Fold doors

I believe you do, otherwise the doors would sway at the bottom and there would be nothing keeping them in line on the floor to ensure a stable and smooth opening and closing motion.

    Fence construction advice

You could dig up the perimeter and pour a concrete trough. I recently built a large perimeter fence and did the following... 1. dug post holes 600mm down. 2. used a 2400mm 100 x 100 post and used post-crete (3 bags per post). 3. This left 1800mm in height (6ft) and had posts 1.5 - 2.5m...

    IM65 problem with firmahold gas

I'm not sure if the problem is the nails or gas. If it's the nails, are they the same fixings you removed from your gun before getting it serviced? If not perhaps it is a faulty batch? If it's the gas, same question? Try another canister or change the canister head if you can?

Quality Double Glazing the cheap way ! Any advice please

You get what you pay for. Would you buy 4 cars for £1700 and expect them to last 10 years? If you don't have the money don't do it. I would expect to pay £1000 minimum per timber window supplied, installed and a guarantee.

    raised deck concrete support posts

Why do you want concrete posts? The only place I think you could get them is from a company that casts concrete. 100mm x 100mm fence posts dug 600mm down with post crete will give you one hell of a support.

    Senco fusion nailer

The Senco Fusion F15, F16 and F18 take a variety of nails, generally second fix ranging from 15mm - 65mm. You could also go for a GT65RHA which isn't a Fusion gun but does the same job and is cheaper. I can get it for £299.

    What happened to Ryobi

I like Ryobi, got a fantastic impact driver and good jig saw of theirs and they'e beasts. They don't seem to be doing much in the professional market like Makita or Paslode but at B&Q etc they're about.

Problems with paslode, can anyone help please?

I'm assuming you are using Paslode nails? If so, it could be a fault with the gun, incorrect loading or wrong size nails. Go back to the shop for assistance.

    IM350 Reliability

Most nail guns break if they're not looked after. A few of my mates have Paslode (I have a Senco Fusion) and they all go in yearly for a service. The only downside with Paslode is the high nail price costs but you can put Senco ones in them, just don't go for cheap and cheerful crap.

    Nail Gun

I've got a Senco Fusion nailer - they're cheaper than paslode, come with a 2 year limited warranty and are just as reliable. Not to mention cheaper nail packs on ebay. I buy mine from a company called fasten fast and they're about half the price. Paslode are great guns and you can put...

    Nail Gun Advice Please

What about a tacker as a cheaper alternative? Nail guns are pretty powerful and I would be worried on bamboo you'll ruin your fence.
