Pipe clips for 15mm copper in 25mm service void

Hello everybody. I'm planning in running some 15mm copper pipe in a service void created by 25mm battens. How can I clip the pipes, I believe a standard clip is a little over 25mm. Thank you.

Time to look at central heating again.

The Tado system will work perfectly in your case it will also control the boiler, you can wire the control unit to your ups, but overall it costs a lot of money. I had my Danfoss now for about 10 years and it has never let me down, it did cost a lot of money but I saved this back over the year...

Thanks for that Rob and if they can only lay a 25mm would that mean best to go with 20mm MPDE? Cheers.

    MPDE pipe and pressure

Hi, 40psi static pressure. 25psi dynamic. I got somebody coming round tomorrow to look at putting a new main in at the same time the shed gets connected. But I don't think they will connect a 32mm. Thanks

Time to look at central heating again.

I have a Danfoss Link System, it is discontinued but every radiator is his own zone and every radiator can fire the boiler up. Tado does a similar system, might worth looking at.

    MPDE pipe and pressure

Hi Rob, if it helps i did connect a 40m run of the 25mm pipe direct to the outside tap (before softener) to check if the flow is good, I managed to fill a 12l water bucket in 50 seconds, so I do have about 15l/minute. I also think that the shared main will not last for ever, the house is from...

PV power back from Garden Room to feed immersion heater

Sorry all, I didn't get any notification on answers. I think I do understand The cable to the shed is 25mm the cable to the immersion only needs to be 4mm, so it was cheaper buying 2 x 3 core instead of the 5 core. Yes grid connected No problem, will do, I assume the electrician knows...

Good afternoon all, I building a posh garnen room with bathroom in the back of my garden, 40m from the house. The house is on a shared water main galvanized pipe and from there it goes through a softener all basically 15mm copper pipes. I was planning to connect the garden room after the...

PV power back from Garden Room to feed immersion heater

Hi JJ, the garden room tank is only 120l and used rarely, so all it needs is a top up. Once hot it would feed the main tank in the house. I would like to avoid any feed back to the grid.

PV power back from Garden Room to feed immersion heater

Hello, I just had an electrician in to size a cable to my garden room but he could not answer my question. I'm running SWA cable from the house to my Garden Room, I'm planning on installing Solar Panels on the Garden Room. Both, Garden Room and House will have a hot water cylinder. I was...

Flat Roof Span 5.4m Joist Sizing

Here a quick update. Struktural Engineer wants £1200 to calculate, but that would include walls as well and technical drawings. I got a calculation from a Posi Joist manufacturer near by, 600 center would be £1224, I guess 400 center would work out as £1632 I have now remodeled the shed a...

Flat Roof Span 5.4m Joist Sizing

Hi all, I did go down the planning route to create a warm roof and have 2.4m headroom, waiting for a decision. I have emailed a couple of SE's and waiting for a reply with a price. I also had a look at the posi joists but none of the calculators allow for weight for solar panels. I assume this...

Flat Roof Span 5.4m Joist Sizing

Hi George, thanks for that, I did not consider a steel beam. Building regs is not needed (under 30m2), I had a quick look, this would be 133kg for a 6.4m beam. That is not going to be easy to get in the back of the garden and up the roof. I assume i could then just us 6x2 from the beam as the...

Flat Roof Span 5.4m Joist Sizing

Hello all, I'm in the process of planning a large garden room about 6.4m x 5.6m, the clear span would be 5.4m. Looking at the span table I can't see any timber over 220mm but looking at it I should be fine with 47x250 timber? This will be a warm roof with 18mm plasterboard, joist, 18mm OSB...

Shed on concrete blocks and finishing off

Hi, I'm currently in the process of planning a new garden office and workshop in the garden total dimensions are 8m x 4m so fairly big. I look at alternatives to a concrete slap. The ground is slightly sloapy so I think a concrete block base would suit nicely. How do you guys finish off the...
