I just thought before going down the the route of a new xspan vessel change shraeder valve repressurise to see if it works, 10 mins work at min cost just to check thats all.

Just a quicky, Have u tried to to repressurise the exspansion vessel first with a foot pump to see if it holds i,ve had a few like this and it works.

I,ve found a electric cable going to a timed fan with brown,black,grey and earth. My question is can i wire a single socket onto it the run my ariel splitter and if so which wires.

Hi, I,m trying to get a permanent electric supply to my loft so i can plug in my ariel splitter but cant find anything apart from cable to lights,can anyone help, Misses going up wall no tv in bedroom.

If pump and boiler runs for ten minutes then goes off sounds like its over heating which points towards a blockage (air maybe).

Worcester do a rain guard which fits inside the terminal on the outside, Found this out when i phoned them with the same problem (water in the fan and gas valve). Fitted the rain guard havn,t had a phone call back from customer for 6 weeks so must work.

For 2k i would expect a better boiler than an Icos troublesome at best, you should get worcester boiler for that amount much more reliable.

Stop moaning and RIDDOR them i work for a Gas company but would still report whoever did a A.R. job on the sly

Sounds like a thermistor problem but to be honest could be several things hard to tell without looking at it.

You buy a secondhand alpha you deserve to suffer.......

Its sounds like your expansion vessel has lost its pressure you needs to get a heating engineer over to get the pressure up and probably change the prv. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Sorry, didn,t read correctly if water coming out out of shraeder valve on exspansion vessel...

Best thing to do is put it a radiator.

Its either the fan or the fan resistor ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ The pipe which is dripping is the prv you need to check the expansion vessel isat the right pressure roughly 1 bar also you may need to replace the prv...pressure relief valve.

Chrishutt you really need to understand boilers celtics have had there time replace asap.
