It would appear my hob is on the kitchen ring mains as apposed to being a spur. The location I wish to place the switch is on the route the electrician had placed the original cable. Thanks. If it is not feeding the hob I'm slightly unsure as to what it is feeding. Ill phone the electrician who rewired the place and see what he says. Thanks again tony
