Pushfit connecting plastic to copper leak HELP

I'm judging the hot water flow by holding the hand held unit as far away at the end of the shower tray aiming towards the drainage hole (the shower tray is 1400mm long). If I continue to hold the unit the arc of the water gradually reduces in pressure and moves closer and closer to me until it...

Pushfit connecting plastic to copper leak HELP

thanks guys. I'll get someone in and replace the elbow, Mum and I are on constant tenterhooks wondering if it will hold when we shower. I hope it is easily demountable as it's in a b*tch of a position banged right up by that wooden joist. 22mm is run up to about a metre away from this...

Pushfit connecting plastic to copper leak HELP

Sorry to be a pain everyone but can I just come back to one safety point. When the second plumber came round and pushed the pipe back into the elbow pushfit connector with the metal insert still in there was this totally unsafe? Will this definitely blow again and should I get a plumber to...

Pushfit connecting plastic to copper leak HELP

Ahhh I see. OK so that piece of metal is the insert. I wasn't expecting it to be metal, all the ones I've seen that connect plastic to plastic elbows are plastic. That makes sense now. In theory therefore if the plastic pipe was pushed back into place even though there are potential issues...

Pushfit connecting plastic to copper leak HELP

In total agreement with everyone even if I didn't want to hear it and it makes me mad that two plumbers in a row have given us bad treatment. After a lot of discussion on this it appears a logical reason for this hot water loss in pressure still lies with this shoddy elbow connection that...

Pushfit connecting plastic to copper leak HELP

Guys, thanks for the advice. A second plumber came round to make sure the connection was safe on this break and said it should be ok now but I am getting poor pressure in the system to the rain shower head. Originally they ran 15mm pipes into a 22mm salamander 1.5 bar pump but came back when...

Pushfit connecting plastic to copper leak HELP

Thanks CBF. NO! The guy just came round and pushed it back in and charged me kindly for it. He definitely did not take anything out of the fitting first. Also no lagging, that's how the pipes were left on the install.

Pushfit connecting plastic to copper leak HELP

Hi there, I'm new to this forum and desperate for some advice regarding a recent flood at my Mum's house following a disastrous fit of a recent bathroom. Luckily I was the one taking a shower when I noticed a complete loss of pressure and then water started to come through the ceiling lights...
