    Vaillant Ecotec 824 F62 fault

I didn't say I was going to check it myself (y) I've taken out a boiler care plan with no exclusion period but I'll leave it as long as I can. I'll just keep resetting it for as long as possible. Hopefully it lasts a few weeks before it becomes terminal.

    Vaillant Ecotec 824 F62 fault

Also this for the PCB: To test the PCB In the top left corner of the Printed circuit board find terminal X20 Measure DC voltage across Blue and Red wires with power on The voltage should be 24V DC and when the gas valve opens after the spark it should go down to 12V

    Vaillant Ecotec 824 F62 fault

Fair enough. I found some expected resistance values for the gas valve: Pins 1-2 - 34 Ohms Pins 3-4 - 17 Ohms Pins 1-4 - 51 Ohms

If it starts happening regularly then I will get it looked at. Do they ever randomly fault out with that fault code though? I wasn't expecting it to reset to be honest but the fact that it reset has got me hoping it was just a random error. My information wasn't from the fault finding chart...

    Vaillant Ecotec 824 F62 fault

Hi My boiler faulted out with the F62 error code. I have reset the boiler and it seems to be OK for now. Does this error code mean there is definitely a fault with the gas valve or PCB or does it sometimes fault out for voltage spikes etc?

Condensation In Attic! Like never before.

Have you had cavity wall insulation installed? My attic has been fine for 2 winters then I had CWI installed and the attic is now dripping wet. I just checked the soffits and they are full of insulating material. The CWI company will be getting an angry phone call in the morning!
