    Hot Water Pressure

It's a Lennox gas-fired water heater - made in Canada I believe. It stands about 51 inches high and about 63 inches in circumference. Don't know if this is of any help.

    Hot Water Pressure

Thanks Mandate for that input. I don't know if what you say is correct or not but is worth taking on board. The water tank has a 33 Imp gallon capacity. Surely the pump would provide most of that hot water at the hottest temperature for short periods. Any expert plumbers out there who may...

    Hot Water Pressure

[b] I have sent emails to Grundfos. They haven't even bothered to reply.

    Kitchen Cabinet Doors

My kitchen requires updating. At present our units are 25 years old and of Imperial measurement. It seems a shame and environmentally unfriendly to rip out the units which are perfectly good just to replace them with a complete new set. Does anyone know if or where replacement doors and...

    Hot Water Pressure

I have only got gravity feed hot water pressure via the water tank in the loft which runs through a gas-fired water heater. Does anyone know if it is possible to have a pump installed on the hot water system to increase the hot water pressure to at least 1 bar? Many thanks BB

    Leaking Kitchen Swivel Tap

Think I have solved my leaking tap problem. I put two O-rings in the appropriate grooves and as they were too thick to allow the reseating of the swivel section, I took a sharp blade and trimmed off a sliver all the way around. Even then, it took a bit of jiggling to get the thing reseated but...

    Painting/Decorating

Thanks again, Zampa. Patience, as they say, is a virtue. When it comes to sanding I'm not sure I have enough of it. Yep, TAG does make watches. You may not find TAG (Body Spray for Men) at Boots. My wife brought it back from the States last time. Ah! you might not like it anyway...

    Painting/Decorating

Thank you, Zampa. Well, accolodaes then, if not kudos. Calvin Kline? My wife says TAG! Who am I to argue with that. Anyway your point about cleaning and sanding the kitchen units was sort of expected BUT the doors and drawers have recessed areas close to the edges and raised pieces in the...

    Painting/Decorating

I have read just about everything pertaining to Painting/Decorating. Some very interesting situations. Kudos to Zampa (Trust me i'm a Decorator) for all his inputs. You can sense that he knows what he's talking about. Now I have a couple of questions. 1. I want to re-paper my hallway. Can...

    Leaking Kitchen Swivel Tap

Thanks Chris. I was afraid that might be the only solution. We will bury ourselves under taps that can't be used for want of a proper 'O' ring. Wonder if that's what the manufacturers' have in mind. Make a tap that is only as good as the 'O' ring lasts.

    Leaking Kitchen Swivel Tap

My swivel kitchen tap leaks. I have removed it to replace the two 'O' rings which have deteriorated. My problem is I can't seem to find the correct 'O' rings. I have bought several from different plumbing stores and DIY stores. While they will fit in the grooves they are usually too thick to...
