Had a flood recently. Radiator leak and all that. The plaster ceiling downstairs has a bulge of maybe 1 inch .. the area effected is 0.5 meter x 0.25 meter .. can that section be repaired or does the whole ceiling has to be ripped off and replaced ?

I looked for leaks and saw some rust in the air release valve , there was no visible leak but it must have been leaking because I can see the rust. It was slightly open so I closed it. I'm now hoping that the boiler pressure remains the same, if it doesn't i'll have to continue searching for a...

What happens when my radiator air release vent is slightly open. Bear in mind that the TVR is closed and the locks shield is open.

The TVR is closed but the lockshield is open. If there's a leak in the air release vent, will the boiler pressure drop ?

Can a radiator be isolated by turning off one valve ? or should both valves be turned off.

The valve isn't hot, it's cold. Anyway, I will try to tighten the gland nut.

A lock shield valve on one of the radiators was leaking. Water was coming out from the top spindle. So I closed the thing. I don't see any water now. However the boiler still loses pressure everyday, albeit at a slower rate. Is it possible that there's an unnoticeable leak on the lock...
