Yeah that was my original idea to keep the 'style'. In the scheme of things I am open to either but don't want to waste money with applications if they will more then likely say no. ty for ideas !

your right, i would prefer that , but after reading what palnning sometimes want, i would not be against moving the gable if needed. ty for input. good chance of getting planning consent with a hip roof you think ?

Trying to gauge if its worth doing. I read up on Permitted developments and on first hand it looks like it would not be allowed. However, since the front is original and the foundations (I am told by the chap who built these houses) is the same for the whole area, it could be an easy way to...
