Legionella anyone? Good point, but is there really a threat given that the water being drawn from the hot water supply into the cold supply would be more or less cold anyway. And the stored cold water supply is always open to germs from potential infestations in the cold water storage tank...

Thanks Dan, should have added that the pump will only run until the hot water supply is hot so the cold water pipe will at worst be luke warm and as the stored cold water supply is not used for drinking , being slightly luke warm is not a showstopper.

Is it OK to return the HW through the stored Cold Water line in order to get the HW to the last tap quickly. Would be using Grundfoss Comfort pump with inbuilt timer. Is there any gotchas or advice I need to follow. I could run a dedicated return on the HW only but would be much simpler to use...
