I have booked an engineer (£82.50 per hour!) and they have said it needs a service because I am in a hard water area and the boiler is probably "clogged up". Any idea how long this will take? and hence how much. Thanks Paul.

Thanks for all the responses, certainly very helpful, going by the responses is seems it could be a pressure problem/sludge, I shall call in the professionals and get it sorted. Regards, Paul.
