    Storage Heater MCB rating

Erm, if that's the bit of extruded plastic with 'WARNING' printed all over it, I removed it to get a clearer photo! So all in all I've been doing my electrician a disservice, and worrying unnecessarily then (?)

2 are 2.55kw and one is 1.7kw. They are Alto, and were new when fitted 18 months ago. It was the fact that I noticed the 32amp MCBs in conjunction with no fused outlets, just switched outlets, that worried me in the first place.

    Storage Heater MCB rating

Just when we thought it was safe to go back in the water! Ive no idea how to gauge the rating for flex. Anyhow, I've just put a vernier across it and it measures at a little over 8mm ...but I'm sure that's really pretty meaningless.

    Storage Heater MCB rating

Thanks for the quick replies. I think the work was carried out to a good enough standard (or at least looks that way), but we did have problems with the electrician in that he disappeared for weeks at a time. He eventually arranged for a different fella to come and finish the work. I have...

    Storage Heater MCB rating

I've just noticed that our storage heating consumer unit is fitted with 32amp MCBs. They are MK Sentry RCBO type (four, running four storage heaters). This was all installed around 18 months ago along with a new 'economy 7' meter (the old one switched tariffs when it felt like it!). The work was...
