    Which backup type?

If you can 'acquire' a Windows 7 OEM disc chances are it will work with your key, and you aren't breaking your licence so long as you use it with the computer you bought. I agree it is frustrating, however. I used to do a regular 'files and folders' backup, and monthly (ish) full computer...

Bathroom sink cabinet - a good idea?

Thanks for your quick replies Can you recommend any brands in particular? I don't mind that much, I just want something that will still be ok in 5-10 years. As I can't pick how high the mirror cabinet should be mounted, I worry it will be too low and look a bit odd, and maybe the taps will...

Bathroom sink cabinet - a good idea?

Hi All, I've had my new place for a few months, and I'm trying to add storage everywhere. I am thinking about buying this cabinet to replace the sink, as I hear the Ikea Godmorgon range is pretty high quality. Do you think this is a good idea or asking for trouble. The tiles behind seem...

2GB of RAM capacity on 64bit motherboards

I don't think Windows 7 will necessarily struggle its self, but when you start opening a load of tabs in a modern browser it can get pretty memory hungry. Try http://uk.crucial.com/gbr/en/systemscanner to make extra sure you can't upgrade...

    Upgrade ram

If you run: http://uk.crucial.com/gbr/en/systemscanner You can see what is compatible with your laptop and how much you can put in. You don't necessarily have to buy from them, you could go to ebay to save a bit of cash if you have time.

Thermostatic wall mounted bath / shower mixer

Hi, picasso - thanks so much for your reply. I can't find anything scribed on it. Irrespective of exactly which shower this is, are some better at dealing with limescale type issues like this? I don't mind spending some money if its a longer term fix, but if its going to be a money pit of...

Thermostatic wall mounted bath / shower mixer

Hi All, I have recently moved, and have inherited this mixer on the wall: The bath / shower tap is fine, but the temperature has ceased up. I haven't tried very hard to free it, but talking to the others in the block with the same tap suggests they all have the same problem regularly...
