Probably a daft question but please can the Pro's give me some advise. I'm replacing some missing slate tiles with reclaimed slates. I plan to drill holes in battens to accommodate hooks to prevent 'bounce' caused by hammering, loosening surrounding tiles. My question is, should hooks be secured...
