I solved it. Took the whole think apart put the old board back on - everything worked (except that I knew it was going to stop working after a while). So packed the other board away and waited to see if any sage advice came from the board, and tested all the components with a multimeter...

Hi, this is probably dead easy, but I'm stumped. I've just replaced the PCB on my Suprima 50 (with a new 5111603) with the intermittent failure problem (as reported on this board ad-infinitum). I now get this behaviour: Lights come on - green/orange flashing Igniter clicks the boiler...
