Thanks for that, will inspect element tomorrow. Rear panel has 5 screws so easy to access element. Drier has been religiously cleaned when required i.e. filters cleared etc. No other probs since new.

Drier is'nt heating up. Followed procedure to show error code and the display gives the numbers 1477. Anyone recognise this fault please? Miele T8322
