:? I have installed new light switches in my hall and landing however I can't get them to work, there are two red wires and one black wire each switch can any one help please

I am decorating my landing at the moment and wish to cove it however it has a sloping ceiling and the standard corner angle corners do not fit. Can anybody help me please Thanks Jill
