Huge thanks to tryandsee !! Just read you post from a few years ago......same problem with my monsoon pump. Took old started out, took it to Maplin and purchased a replacement starter capacitor for £4.99 ...... Cut off plastic lug at end and it fits and works perfect!!!! So pleased and only 4.99...
