tried to take one wire out at a time and put it in the new one, the knobs just turn and you can hear the click of them turning on. but no light bet you think i am daft hey :lol:

hi ban all sheds, it was a switch for controlling two different lights, and the dimmer has 2 knobs, when I put electric back on when I turned them the lights didnt come on, did I buy the right ones

have just tried to change a double switch to a double dimmer but it dont work, please help i know basic diy so english not too many specialist words please. sorry for such an early post
