    Thanks - I'll have a look tomorrow in daylight. I believe I may need a lime mortar as there is no cavity in my walls (and they will need to breathe)

    Hello, Some of the brickwork in my 1890 home needs repointing. Please could someone offer a bit of advice on the best mortar mix? I have been told that old bricks need a specific combination of sand, cement etc. Many thanks in advance. Paul
