    What is Vettel whining about?

Exactly, long gone are the days when it was a bunch of teams, each with a bank account and a bunch of sponsors: When teams could pretty much do whatever they could afford (within certain limits). I wouldn't say that new technology isn't pioneering F1 like it would have once upon a time (massive...

    What is Vettel whining about?

Initially I felt the same way as you, I thought Seb was being a big baby because Ferrari took a risk and it didn't work. But after a bit of reading I just think that, much like Honda with their engines, Pirelli just aren't on top form this season. Apparently Paul Hembery, Pirelli motorsport...

Potterton Gold Combi 28HE A fluctuating DHW :(

Hi again guys, I've got an update. I bought a new PCB, part number: 5120218. Changed it over and initially had an E168 error, I suspect because power was interrupted. Reset boiler and called for CH & DHW and the error cleared, then switched to DHW only and error didn't return, great! The boiler...

    SSD's

That's the thing though, I think a lot of big companies tech support aren't trained beyond following along on a computer, pulling up your info and warranty status, and if the troubleshooting strays from that they're at a loss! Anyway, now you know that you can make the jump to solid state and...

    PRM10 Projector won't power up

Mmm not sure then... might try and look at the projectors internal power supply for any damaged components, capacitors, etc. If its a damaged component or IC on the projectors mainboard then I wouldn't be holding my breath.

Potterton Gold Combi 28HE A fluctuating DHW :(

That's where my suspicions lie at the moment as well. I've read online about others having issues with Baxi/Potterton boilers and similar symptoms all coming down to dry solder joints on the PCB. Think I might look for anything obvious on the board before replacing

    SSD's

I think the E6400 is SATA II but the SSD, which is SATA III, is backwards compatible so it should work fine and be detected in the BIOS. You shouldn't notice any difference running a SATA III drive through a SATA II laptop. Yeah Dell tech support probably aren't going to know what you're...

    SSD's

OK. So most SSD's are thinner than 2.5" hard drives and this seems to be the problem with some Dells (yours included) as you mentioned. This thread on the Dell forums explains it pretty well http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/disk-drives/f/3534/t/19337790 There doesn't seem to be any...

    SSD's

I find that very hard to believe... What model of Dell Latitude do you have?

    SSD's

In that case just go for the 850 EVO. Using an SSD for both OS and data is absolutely fine, you honestly won't shorten its life doing that. And tbh you may only have room for one drive in your laptop anyway (most do) so that makes your mind up for you! Amazon will probably have them for a...

    PRM10 Projector won't power up

Anything sound loose if you shake it lightly? Is there no activity at all when you press the power button... LEDS, fans, etc? Always start off simple and try a new cable/fuse in another plug socket. After that i'd open it up to inspect for any obvious visual damage to anything/loose or...

Is this decent to run Autodesk Revit 2016 on ?

On paper, yes. The performance requirements for Autodesk Revit 2016 are a DirectX 11 graphics card with shader model 3. Your Laptop has an AMD Radeon HD 7620G graphics card which is DirectX 11 and uses shader model 5.0 which is ok. You've also got a quad-core AMD processor which more than meets...

    SSD's

I had a 512GB 840 Pro in my MacBook Pro and recently upgraded to x2 850 EVO 1TB drives to give me 2TB in total. There's not much of a speed difference with real-world use (although both are leagues away from rotational hard disks). The main difference is in the type of NAND memory used, the 840...

    Running Windows on Apples

I would personally just use Apple's own Boot Camp Assistant. The Mac partition will be HFS+ which is re-sizeable meaning you can choose how big you'd like the Windows partition to be, and even get rid of it should you want a full size Mac partition again. I prefer a native installation of...

Potterton Gold Combi 28HE A fluctuating DHW :(

Hi guys, long time reader, first time poster. I'm scratching my head here; I've got a Potterton Gold Combi 28HE A which was installed about 5 years ago, initially without any CH filtration. For the last year the DHW temperature has fluctuated making showers a nightmare and the CH would get hot...
