Ford Fiesta 1.4tdci 2007 low power

Just to let anyone know using this for reference. The replacement turbo did the trick. Thanks for the help burnerman. One final question, do you think it's essential I change the oil to check the sump for metal shavings from the old turbo? This was recommended to me but I have done this a week...

This is after the engine has stopped, eml is not on or any codes. Taking pipework off white fumes/smoke still exist.

Managed to start it with a recharged battery, fires up but will only rev in neutral to about 1000rpm. Waiting on a turbo to come. Anything I can test until then? I guess compression test would be best. White smoke also coming out of air intake when breaking to look at turbo.

All of the sudden it broke down today half way to work? And wouldn't start again. Had to have the RAC tow me home :( This can't be related to the turbo can it?

Needed a screw driver to free them up, once I did there were still some very hard spots. The photo seems pretty conclusive too. Image by Bowsh9 posted 7 Sep 2015 at 3:54 PM I guess it's a new turbo then.

Yes, I did a service last week to try and correct the problem. Ok will try in the morning. I've spun the vanes but needed a screwdriver as they were quite stiff. A little oil in the pipe that came off that.

Which pipes exactly? The one to the right of the turbo? Or behind the front bumper?

There is oil in the turbo pipes. What would you call lots? Cheers for the advice.

Blanking plate fitted & the problem still exists. Since fitting there is much more white smoke coming from the exhaust on start up. The hesitation does seem to be gone/less but still low on power.

Thanks for the quick reply, I've ordered a blanking plate to test this. Would you recommend I drill a hole in it to stop the light coming up on the dash?
