    External Power Socket

I assure you I won't be needing that much power...... Would the above idea work at all though? converting the dishwasher spur into a radial via an FCU with a 13amp fuse fitted and then continuing it up to the shed?

    External Power Socket

Hi again, the current sockets etc all sit inside the wall. If he were to put in another isolator, he'll have to cut a piece of the wall out and that's something I'd like to avoid if at all possible. But I posted the above suggestion - would something like that work at all?

    External Power Socket

Sorry to post again - I've been racking my brain to find a more convenient solution. I have a dishwasher socket under the counter at present. It is spurred off of the extension ring final circuit with an isolation switch between the 2. Would it be ok to swap the isolation switch for a 13amp FCU...

    External Power Socket

Yep, it's a terraced property and so he cannot take the cable straight out from where the CU is. The reason for the 2 cables was so that 1 would go to the shed and the second would go to the external socket - putting them both on their own circuit so that they are totally independent of each...

The house was also rewired and at the time I asked the electrician to install an external power socket. However he forgot and I didn't really notice myself till recently...

    Imperial to metric pipe conversion

Nope - ball turns fine when not connected. but as soon as you plumb the copper pipe in and tighten the nut, the ball only turns part way and then stops. if you force it, it breaks?

    Imperial to metric pipe conversion

I've been trying to fit a 15mm isolating valve to an old 1/2" pipe and although it fits, I cant use the isolating valve? It turns part way and then stops and if I try turning any further, the valve breaks internally. I thought it was a faulty valve and tried another one - but the same thing?

    Imperial to metric pipe conversion

Hi, I'm looking for a 15mm (copper pipe) to 1/2" (copper pipe) compression coupler. I'd have thought that this would be quite easy to come by but no one seems to do it? Does anyone on this forum know where I could order this sort of coupling from? Many thanks.
