Keston Boiler faults, issues and problems, advice please

Simon, can I replace my C55 with a Bosch considering it has 10 meters of horizontal then vertical flue? Would it be a wider flue?

    Boiler's controls: CH and DHW?

The experience with the independent engineer/plumber was a bit traumatising: choice of Keston, unfinished and undocumented work (no instructions, brand new pipes not identified), new boiler that needs more pressure every week, dirt in the supposedly sealed system and, worst of all, immersion not...

    Boiler's controls: CH and DHW?

I have a contract with a large gas company but they say they don't want to know about the UFH. Should I bring another RIG?

    Boiler's controls: CH and DHW?

Unfortunately he made several mistakes and resigned or was fired by the end. The builder finished the work somehow and didn't leave any instructions. I don't know how to find the plumber and the builder won't respond to my queries

Keston Boiler faults, issues and problems, advice please

Thanks Simon. Do you know if there is an alternative to use any other boiler if replacing the double flue of the Keston with wider ones, assuming it is possible?

    Boiler's controls: CH and DHW?

I could guess that but there is nothing written on the boiler or in the manual. So I have to assume it is a standard thing to separate the thermostats for CH and DHW, and assume also that CH is for both radiators and UFH. So I am more looking for confirmation that it is the usual thing. Would...

Keston Boiler faults, issues and problems, advice please

So if I want to replace the Keston and considering it is in a basement with 10 meters of vertical and horizontal flue, can I use for example a Worcester if I replace the flues with wider ones (assuming there is enough space)?

    Boiler's controls: CH and DHW?

sorry to insist but what are the two thermostats on the front of the Keston boiler for? Are they similar and regulating the temperature of 2 different flows of water? Is it typically one for central heating and one for hot water, and how do know which one is for what?

Keston Boiler faults, issues and problems, advice please

Thanks all. Tony, what do you mean with: "they were also usually seriously over powered for the heating load" if I may ask? I found that when the CH temperature was left at around 60 the underfloor heating didn't heat up properly. Do you mean they have to run at a higher temperature than other...

    Boiler's controls: CH and DHW?

Another naive question regarding my Keston C55 (I got the message about how fragile it is) but I can't find a definitive answer in the documentation or online. I suppose the question is valid for any system boiler. There are 2 thermostats/potentiometers on the front of the boiler. I thought they...

Keston Boiler faults, issues and problems, advice please

So anybody knows what E14 stands for, and whether I can plan to replace the boiler without changing the flue? I read that other brands would require wider flue and that may be difficult to install

Keston Boiler faults, issues and problems, advice please

Well, I also have a Keston C55 for a 5 BR house and, funny enough, "it was expensive and was fitted because we needed to put it in a basement with the flue being well above ground level, and our Plumber thought this was the only boiler that would work in that situation". Now, after 3 years, we...
