further question: by sliding the roof tile sideways along the batton from the facia as they are the end tile, would it be a problem if i scraped the galv. off the head of the nail with the abrasive surface of the tile above? btw thanks bikerm4.

are there any expereinced/qualified roofers here? I have been putting up hardro roofing tiles on the gable end ridge, and so theyr'e cemented over the facia. the builders merchants said i could use either ali., or galv. nails, so thinking that the tiles being heavy, ali. ones might be too...
