Vaillant Ecomax 618 - first not enough, and now too much pressure?

Thanks again. It's been off for over an hour now, and it's dropped to just over 1.0. Will see what it's like tomorrow when I put it on again.

Yeah, I agree about the "inspection and test"!

Vaillant Ecomax 618 - first not enough, and now too much pressure?

Thanks. Any reason why I got the F25 fault code in the first place? The heating hasn't been on for a few months, but the hot water has been on a couple of times a week. Had the boiler serviced about a year ago, and all ok (12 yrs old but low use). Now I remember, I think I had this issue once...

Vaillant Ecomax 618 - first not enough, and now too much pressure?

Thanks again. The heating is still on, but I've drained off a fair amount of water (maybe half a litre?), and now it's about 1.5. Anything else? It's due to go off in about half an hour.

Vaillant Ecomax 618 - first not enough, and now too much pressure?

Thanks. I tried bleeding them all, but it hasn't made any difference to the pressure.

Vaillant Ecomax 618 - first not enough, and now too much pressure?

hi all Just turned on the heating for first time in a few months, and I got the F25 fault code, which is "Water switch/System pressure too low". Pressure was at zero, pretty much. I found another thread on here and tried adjusting the two valves on the filling loop. When I switched the...

cracked roof beams - is it a problem?

Ah, now I get it! No, that's a different house - I posted that pic to show what the cubbyhole/cupboard things that they have a lot in this kind of house look like. That was what I thought the thing in the floor might have been - they took out a cupboard thing like this. Esp as it's under the...

cracked roof beams - is it a problem?

OK, that's good... I'm good at daft questions :-) Not sure how you can see the water heater, but you're probably right. It's the kind where the gas comes on when you turn on a tap (presumably the cheapest type).

cracked roof beams - is it a problem?

Thanks :) The bit on the floor is actually under the stairway, so the wall nearby is the kitchen wall, not an outside wall. The water heater (in the kitchen but also for the bathroom upstairs, of course) is gas, but is actually new - the owner just put in a new kitchen and bathroom. Why do you...

cracked roof beams - is it a problem?

No, no cellar (and the kitchen is separate, on the other side of the stairs). I reckon it could have been a kind of walled cubbyhole/storage space - these seem to be pretty common in these houses (see pic above, of another house) Only thing I wonder is why they took it out, as they are kind of...

cracked roof beams - is it a problem?

The filling must have been done by the current owner, I think, as she bought the place about 15 years ago. Can't imagine a local would have done that in a sound village house! I don't mind the cracks at all if they aren't a problem - just wanted to make sure about it. There is a bit of plaster...

cracked roof beams - is it a problem?

Don't care about regs - as long as it doesn't have any major issues that will stop it standing up for 20 years or so without costing me money!

cracked roof beams - is it a problem?

Thanks again! So you reckon they're OK? Wonder why they stuffed one of them with concrete, then!

cracked roof beams - is it a problem?

Thanks! So fairly large lengthways cracks not a problem? One of them seems to have been filled with concrete (pic 3). The beams look newish to me - what do you think? Though I can't see how this is possible as the roof looks oldish!

cracked roof beams - is it a problem?

Looking to buy a house in Spain with a traditional pitched roof. No trusses, that's the way they seem to make them :-) The house has been done up, but I'm wondering about some of the beams (downstairs and upstairs), which have large cracks in them. Is this likely to be a problem, or is it just...
