Thanks for your help - port a and b were round the wrong way - we have changed this and now we can't get the boiler to ignite at all! It stopped igniting just for a day before we changed the valve to the right way round. Think I will have to call someone out!

We refitted the wires to the same place as the old one - the instructions provided are very poor and unclear. Thank you

I believe it was the motor which went in the one we had - we replaced the entire part. before the motor went we were able to get hot water and heating separately - thanks for the advice we will check the wiring on it.

Hi, We have fitted a new three point valve (Drayton) however everytime the hot water is on the heating is also coming on. We didn't have this previously - both worked ok on their own. Any ideas what may be causing this? Thanks
