All I had a new valve fitted and my CH is now working fine....although i do have a couple of rads that are cold after the system was flushed out and filled up again, but thats another story... Thanks to every one who took the time to read and advise...I knew what the problem was with...

I have toggled between the auto and manual setting on the Honeywell valve but my CH has not come on today I asked a guy at a plumbers shop , he said it sounds like the valve has had it... I am told by setting the valve lever to 'manual' then it CH should work , but i am not seeing any...

We have tried the following : 1. Opened up the cover of the pump and inserted a screwdriver in and turned it...internal part of pump spins and stops... 2. We initially thought the pump was not working, but we opened up some of the HW taps in order to drain some of the HW in the immersion...

Thanks for the advice. I put CH on and I tried changing speeds on the pump which is a GrandFos type usb15 (there were speeds 1, 2 and 3, and it was set to 3)..but no joy/ I started undoing the centre screw and water started seaping, so i have screwed it back in afraid water was going to...
