System constantly needs bleeding of air.

Returning to the positioning of the vent/feed - surely as the pump is on the ground floor, right by the boiler, the vent must come off the system somewhere upstairs, so quite a way from the pump?

System constantly needs bleeding of air.

Just in case I've misled anyone, it's a Honeywell V4073, mid position valve. I'm confident the valve and pump are on the feed side not the return.

System constantly needs bleeding of air.

It is fed by a small header tank in the loft and there is a vent into that. The pump is directly below the 3 port valve, right by the boiler. As I cannot see that there is a leak anywhere (it would surely show somewhere after all this time?), I am puzzled how air can displace water in a full system?

System constantly needs bleeding of air.

I have a Worcester/Bosch Danesmoor 20/25 on 'conventional' diameter piping (ie; not micro-bore), feeding through a Honeywell mid-position valve and a Grundflos Superselectric pump, feeding 2 hot water cylinders and 16 radiators, over 2 storeys. The boiler is about 12 months old and the Honeywell...

Just did a fast spin as well - but noticed a noise which I think is coming from the motor, sounds like electrical 'crackling/sparking'??

Zanussi FJ1296 - not spinning and irratic programs

Fido, thanks for the reply. Actually, it's not the block that's come loose on the front, it's the long bolts that locate the outer plastic casing onto the block. These bolts keep working loose and destroying the threads, this allows the outer casing to bang against the block when spinning...

Zanussi FJ1296 - not spinning and irratic programs

I seem to have cured it! I looked again at the magnet, withdrawing it and saw a circular piece of metal mounted on a plastic thread, which was unscrewed quite a way. I screwed this back in as firmly as possible, replaced the magnet housing and pushed the castle washer in firmly - it works...

Zanussi FJ1296 - not spinning and irratic programs

Our machine has stopped spinning or the spin fires then immediately stops, then it cycles through the remaining programs, say fron D (fast spin) through to O (finish), without triggering any filling/draining etc. I have looked through some other topics and saw mention of a possible loose...
