Cracks in ceiling, how do I find someone to look into it?

Hi all We live in London in a block of flats (not on the ground floor) and have noticed a crack in the ceiling that runs across one of the rooms (room 1), through to the next room (room 2) and horizontally down two of the walls (in room 1). I obviously don't want this to worsen. Photos...

PVC door wont shut (or lock)

Hi guys I have a PVC patio door and it wont lock. The full story is that it wont shut, or it will shut, but only to the point where if you push the door it will open i.e. the catch isn't engaging. There's nothing that SEEMS to be jamming it. It just isn't catching. I think if I can get the...

Hinges on an exterior front door

Hey guys I've just bought my first flat, and I'm now coming to terms with the dreaded/fun task of looking at the doors and locks and security. We're going to replace the front door (197mm height, 84mm wide, 45mm deep) with a wooden door which is roughly 27kg and use the existing wooden frame...
