Hi everyone My tv has a thick black line down it as shown in the picture and was wandering what you all think it is. Currently I'm thinking faulty tcon board. What are your thoughts.

Alot of shouting at it later it is all back together and the wires are back as they should be on the motor :D

Yeh I never thought of that lol so il swap em back lol yeh I said the same they prob was fine but then for £4 they was better replaced with 6v ones as u said :D

I'm thinking that's what will happen it's hard to say for sure that's happening because the switch don't say up and down on which makes me wander if it's possible to just put the switch the opposite way into it's place so it wouldn't require swapping wires back. Yep it 100% goes back and...

Omg you are amazing I had given up all hope so I guess now i need to swap the motor wires back or the switch will work in the reverse directions right?

Ok so basically just reheat the solder on them all? Out of curiosity iv just noticed one of the relays isn't flat to the board could that affect it at all?

Car still wouldn't go forward so I'm unsure what else could be causing the fault now :( I have for now reversed the wires at the motor which made it go forward instead of backwards lol my only guess now is 1 of two things either it is the black relay or something with the circuit board itself...

Big test day tomo lol new relays have been put on I will let u all know :D

So I rang one of my not so local stores and they seem to think that one will be ok so I'm picking them up tomorrow and giving it to my step dad to put them on so fingers crossed I shall keep you all updated :D

I went into store to show them hoping it would b simple but ended up with someone useless he asked someone who told him which to get n then guy come back saying we don't sell that no more :/ he even commented he needed his glasses so I don't know.

I will remove the motor as see how easy it is to swap the wires. I only plan it being temp :-)

Ok thinking of trying what motorist said as a temp fix til after Xmas so it's not so rushed then get new relays put on.

Managed keep them there a little while most it got was 5.7v backwards

Backwards definitely has a reading but tricky on my own to keep prongs there for figuring how much. Forwards is no reading at all

That's an interesting thing to test how easy is it to swap them on the motor? Can't budge them on the battery.

It definitely looks to be relays I have tested the switch this morning with the meter and all seems to be fine. One thing I noticed when in reverse the click of the relay is heard, in forward nothing. I got the pcb out to try test them but couldn't figure which r the com ones. I also tried to...

Not sure I can? (Attached a pic of the tester) I did try his wiring but i used tinfoil to connect the two wires. so with blue and orange sure enough it reversed. With the yellow and orange nothing more than the lights came on.
