    I was also thinking of Sanding down the wood abit on the floor to get rid of the mound on there and re treating it. This is just as it is a rented place I do not know how much work the landloard would do and in the meantime I would like to make it bearable.

    Thank you for your responses, with regards to the grouting apprently this has been resolved. In regards to the flooring it is a mix of what looks like floor boards and concrete, which the concrete is still dam. I was thinking of putting a heater in to dry it out, do you recond this would help...
