Thanks for the reply... You've echoed my own first thoughts so I was wondering if I put membranes down and used heavily treated timber such as decking timbers would it keep it dry enough not to rot.. How long does the average decking construction last before it needs replacing?

I have been offered some parts from a 4 year old conservatory. Doors, windows and the roof. It's not complete so I was hoping to use what I can to make up the rest. I have no brick laying skills but am good at carpentry so I have numerous questions about what has to be done that I can't change...
