I have the same problem. I might try sliding some of that white underlay under there and then use some superglue and weigh it down like you:-)

Using a saw might be hard to get the V grooves in the doors. You might need to get them routed.

I've fitted a dew diy kitchens and the build quality was very good and surprisingly cheap too.

It looks well old with those aluminum rails. I would say it was fitted in the 80s.
