    Back again! I myself ended up biting the bullet and getting a 'specialist' out to diagnose my problem. They told me it was the defrost stat, but that came as part of the evaporator/heater assembly, which I would need to buy. In addition due to the excessive ice build up in the polystyrene air...

    Might be the only option. I think there is a test mode,a quick Google may find it. Ultimately the only option may be to bite the bullet

    If you switch back on now it will probably start cooling again, but not tell you the cause. Will probably be one of three things. Defrost stat Heater Timer. There are a few YouTube videos on the subject. I'll let you know how I get on when I look further in to my problems!

    I had a similar issue. I removed the back panel in the freezer compartment and found the circulation fan clogged with ice.
