    Grade 3 PIR's

Hi everyone, I'm looking at swapping out all of my components for Grade 3 components. I've been looking around at all the PIR's on the Market. Now my system is a Texecom, so I was thinking I would just go with the top of the range Texecom grade 3's - the TPE Anti Masking Dual Tech PIR - however...

    Texecom SmartCom Arming Isssue

Okay I've just had about 20 notifications from the app all come through at once, and the text messages are also slowly filtering through. I think perhaps it got itself a little stuck, so I'm going to give it a couple of hours to settle down. Do a couple more tests, and if there are still delays...

    Texecom SmartCom Arming Isssue

Okay so we have things working to a point. Everything is set to A and A only (apart from the Engineer user, who has access to ABCD, but won't be used for arming the panel). I can now arm and disarm the system using both the panel and the app - however we have hit a big problem (I'm not sure if...

    Texecom SmartCom Arming Isssue

As I said the system has been working with no trouble for quite from time. I did have everything set to just A but there was a ready I set it to all areas. I'm going to tinker with it today, set all the sensors back to A and if the problem rears its head again, I'll hit you guys up a message.

    Texecom SmartCom Arming Isssue

May have just found my own problem. I'll let you know. So you actually posted yout message before me.I remember at one point I did try to move everything on the system to just A but there was an issue. I think it was a clash over how I wanted the system to person when the house when empty...

    Texecom SmartCom Arming Isssue

I use all areas and all devices, as I found just using a single area didn't work the way I wanted things too - and that sometimes extra steps were required. Whereas setting the entire system ABCD made things much easier. I haven't logged in as the root user on the app, only as myself and...

    Texecom SmartCom Arming Isssue

Hi guys, I have recently purchased and set-up a SmartCom box. The installation went smoothly and I used to extra com port they provide so I am still able to use my GSM device for notifications. The issues I am having arrise from the actual app itself. For example, when I arm the system from...

    Texecom 48 wiring specifications

The door contacts and PIR's are all wireless, so It's only things like panic buttons and glass break sensors that are going to be wired in (probably a smoke detector at some point). Would any particular wiring type be beneficial on this panel?

    Texecom 48 wiring specifications

It is a 48 (metal case). Could you explain why I don't need EOL for a 48. Should I be wiring it with all 6 wires (12v, 0v, alrmin, alrmout, tmpin, tmpout) or is there a better way? I've studied the manuals over and over but they don't really explain what is best for what situation. Not sure how...

    Texecom 48 wiring specifications

Another question, and I'm afraid it might be very stupid. So I have a cheap panic button, bought from here: https://www.alertelectrical.com/burglaralarm-panic-button.html Should I also wire this in as EOL - and if so is it exactly the same as the glass break sensors I did. (I did try to upload a...

    Texecom 48 wiring specifications

No sorry I didn't make myself very clear. I'm talking about each individual resistor. So for the 4K7 one, should the purple stripe be closer to the next terminal, or the red stripe.

    Texecom 48 wiring specifications

Excellent, that's exactly what I thought. And does it matter which way round the resistors go and if so, what am I looking for to identify the correct direction?

    Texecom 48 wiring specifications

So to clarify (before I wire everything in). I run a wire from the panel to the sensor. Red and black go in as normal for +12v and -0v. I can then use two other wires (I'm using 8 core cable so have six choices), I haven't come across any "industry standards" according to the manual. I'll be...

    Texecom 48 wiring specifications

So if I was EOL wiring my glass break sensors, would I need 4 wires in total - red & black for power (or whatever colours you feel like), then two more for the alarm and tamper? Then I require two resistors, one 2K2 resistor and then a 4K7 resistor?

    Texecom 48 wiring specifications

I think I'll go with EOL. If I'm going to do it, I might as well do it the best way! Many thanks for your advice

    Texecom 48 wiring specifications

Hi all, For a long time I've had a great interest in security (especially alarm systems) and after fitting a few home ones for friends, I decided to push the boat out a little and purchase myself a Texecom Premier Elite system. I have a Texecom Premier Elite 48 control panel, four PIR's (two...
