Our cast iron gutters are leaking at the joints. Some of the joints I can see the overlap piece is totally missing. Any thoughts/ideas on how to repair this? Photo is of the same joint seem from above and below.

Thanks. I think I saw the valve and assembly at about £45 which makes me not super motivated to replace just that part in case it doesn't fix it when a new shower is maybe £180. Any idea if it's possible to test the flow valve?

Thanks for the suggestion. Just checked it and looks OK. A small amount of debris but largely clear and water flow out of the shower when it's on is strong. I checked the solenoid again and got 3.495kΩ, so again slightly below 3.5 but presumably OK?

You read my mind, been watching Showerdoc videos for the last half hour - extremely helpful!

Update. I've tested the solenoid and it's measuring 3.488kΩ. I read anything below 3.4 is faulty, but i also read it should be above 3.5. I've also tested the Thermal Cut Out TCO and the two microswitches and they all have continuity which suggests they're fine. I also tested the heating...

Thanks. I shot a lot of video but that was the only but I could see something happening. In that instance it's coming back on after being off. I do have a multimeter though wouldn't know how to check either of those but can definitely try YouTube. Any tips?
