On a single story (lean to) style extension with 8x2 4.2 m joists at 16 degree pitch,what size ridge board would people use and how would you fasten it to the wall. (I ve had 3 different joiners all with different methods quoted) Also how would you fix the joists to said ridge board. Again...

So in real terms try and do as best as poss but it’s not essential and the roofers can work around it?? Would that be right.

Hi, a question regards setting out velux windows on a new extension roof, basically do the velux's have to be spaced out so that the tiles fit as either a full or half tile to the edges of the velux. Obviously to do this then the joists have to be placed to reflect this exact positioning...
