Elec UFH to run with evohome

Hello pal, thanks for taking the time to reply :) Ok so perhaps a bit more background to it....... This is UFH to go in a bathroom on the 1st floor. So it's chipboard 20mm floor, 8" of floor void which as of the moment is without insulation. The bathroom will be tiled floor, and the area that...

Elec UFH to run with evohome

Evening all. Basically I'm just looking for a bit of a recommendation for a good elec UFH kit. I'm running an evohome setup for the wet side, but I'm maybe hoping I can also control the elec UFH. Can anyone shed any light on good web pages to read or anyone done it that can point me to how it's...

Intergas eco rf D plan help

I certainly do bud, which I passed on my sincere thanks for. :D Right, so the original cylinder stat is still to be used and wired in series with the 3 port. Ok, think I follow that. (Full of cold and the poor brain cells just ain't firing on all cylinders at the minute like) We're using a 4073...

Intergas eco rf D plan help

Ah well, forget that idea, it's something to look into/research further down the line. Right now I'd just love to get the install working with the D plan and the evohome working together. So Dan, how or where can I find the info for how the stats are wired in, and at that point is the evohome...

Intergas eco rf D plan help

Ah ok so it can be run as both, that could be useful. Where can I find the wiring destructions for that setup then bud? As I say, I specifically said when I was asking for installers I needed someone who was G3 certified and knew both intergas and evohome. But in all honesty, in a city down...

Intergas eco rf D plan help

What do ypu mean about the connections on the boiler buddy? The hot runs off the top of the tank up next to the boiler, the cold side runs from the PRV and up the right hand side of the boiler and off to the house. There is a couple of valves that can be shut and one opened which will allow the...

Intergas eco rf D plan help

Thanks Dan for that. When he comes back next week we'll see about hard piping them then. So forgive me buddy, let me run over something one more time...... The intergas cylinder sensor....https://theintergasshop.co.uk/intergas-accessories/626-intergas-hot-water-cylinder-sensor-12k-065117.html...

Intergas eco rf D plan help

Oops forgot to reply about the vessels...... we have used 500mm flexis to the vessel so that when the vessel dies, it'll be a real easy job replacing it even if the vessel has a different mounting point or diameter etc etc. Is this not a good idea?

Intergas eco rf D plan help

Ahhh I said this to him, that every pic I had seen with this sort of setup only had a 3 port valve and not the extra 2 port. He said however that the 2 port is a safety device that's needed. So does it meet regs ok if it's not there? So when you say "wired through the cylinder stats".... forgive...

Intergas eco rf D plan help

It's simply because there is a slight difference in how the boiler is wired up to make use of its potential. Also installing the evohome set up is something he's never done, so had rather be sure than get it wrong, which I can appreciate. There's 2 flexi s for the EVs, the hot water from the...

Intergas eco rf D plan help

Ok, thanks Dan. So basically the pics should show the install as it is right now. The installer is basically a bit stuck with regards to the wiring/setup of the pin 5 jobbie. So, questions as we see it..... Does the 3 port valve need wiring direct to the boiler or should it be wired to the...

Intergas eco rf D plan help

Evening boys, Could someone familiar with the D plan spare me 5 mins to look over a couple of pics to see if I've done it right. For obvious reasons I'd like to check it's right before it's switched on. Cheers lads Alex

    Spray, roll or brush MDF?

Ahh excellent advice cheers! Time and costs of cleaning the gun is free as it were as this wouldn't be for a customer as such, just for me and my house. The fumes again I'm not too bothered about as there is pretty much only me there working on it. The main things I would be painting though...

    Spray, roll or brush MDF?

Ah thanks pal a good video indeed. Fairly straight forward too. The only reason I was even entertaining painting it, is because I used to be a car painter. So I've got all the equipment I need, that is if my gun would take the paint viscosity. Is it ordinary gloss just thinned down do we know...

    Spray, roll or brush MDF?

Hello all, Been doing some reading and searching but couldn't quite find what I was after. Basically how would you choose to paint MDF? I'm fitting a couple of new window sills (one is 9 foot by 2 foot in a bay window) so I can paint it before or after fitting depending on what you'd suggest...

    Chrome, hep and compression

Aye will do. With a brass wire wheel I figured it would just strip it like paint rather than grind it.

    Chrome, hep and compression

Lovely, thanks for that! Makes life really easy, the hep fitting is beneath the floor boards so I can strip more than enough of the chrome under there. Any tips on the best way to strip it? Only thing I was going to try was a wire wheel on my bench grinder. Alex
