    Ok so disconnecting the Hall sensor made the water light go out. When connected it is red, suggesting its sensing water die to a sticking filter pin? The damn thing isn't even a proper hex nut, 18mm socket (with multiple sides) won't grip, am about to try a proper 18mm box spanner

    I know it's very old now, but how did you get on with this as it sounds exactly like my issue now. Sounds like a simple fix in a not-so-simple location.

    Many thanks, I did wonder about a car-type box spanner, as I have a couple. The Hall sensor seems to have some kind of plastic connection to the top of the turbine thing, and the book suggests it just comes off. Sorry, but by disconnecting the Hall sensor and if the light goes out (or not)...

    To easily reduce the 2.5 bar, bleed the air and some water out of a couple of radiators. At least that will end that element of doubt.
