    Thanks for all replies about the dodgy roof. Building control finally called me back. He agreed it doesn’t look good. He's going to contact the neighbour and inspect. I just don’t have funds to appoint my own surveyor. Unfortunately party wall agreement is not a legal requirement.

    Thanks for all your replies. It won’t surprise you that they did not offer me a party wall agreement. Do you think I will need to go down the legal route to get this sorted properly?
