Thank you for your replies Sodthisforfun and Noseall. I have tried to enlarge the photo, hope it's a bit better.

I was wondering if anybody would be able to take a look at this photo and say whether the strands in the plaster are animal hair or asbestos? Hope the picture shows up clearly. Thanks in advance
