    Thanks for the reply guys, yeh my it makes perfect sense to have some steel reinforcement inside. It just looks a bit unfinished as the concrete isn’t very neat so it made me wonder that’s all. (y)

    Also just realised that the grooves or sections are the mortar lines from the soldier bricks. But still I’d like to know how this lintel is constructed, how was it poured and is it reinforced with steel?
