Ah, I see what you mean… no, the 24.7 sensor display is in the middle but it’s metal sensor is inside some lagging wrapped around the return pipe below where the exp vessel is.

Im not sure how to get the other ones to appear. Or do you mean run it again when the boiler is running / CH demanded?

    Bypass valve

I'll list out what it said below. Though first worth mentioning I set the A2 to 0 and it still did the jumping from 20 to 80% thing once it reached target temp on the boiler of 80'c. So i've turned it back off now. the below is the read outs all whilst there's no CH demand. A1 - 203 A2 - 0 A3 -...

    Bypass valve

Had a look on the inside, do you see anything resembling a 3 way diverter in there? I didn't but im certainly not technical. Also is the red capped thing at 18seconds some sort of blow off valve to prevent airlocking etc? If that was set incorrectly could that be causing the problem?

Then I’m right to feel like I was being palmed off. He was adamant the boiler was all perfect. But then ofcourse he would. It’s still under warranty for 6 years more. I too suspect there’s a cockup. Are the diverters easy to remove If there is one there?

    Bypass valve

I’m going to try setting it to 0 tonight and see what happens. I’ll take a photo of the under side of the boiler. In our case it’s definitely just 4 pipes (flow, gas, blow off?, and return). Though I can see slots for where more pipes could be added, it’s my understanding that the boiler shares...

    Bypass valve

Hot water comes from somewhere else. This is a CH only system boiler. 2a1 is showing as 0 on mine as default. And consistent with the manual. It’s showing 1 on 2A2 since the factory reset. But the manual says that should be 0 by default I’m wondering why there’s an inconsistency there. That...

    Bypass valve

It's about 15cm below where the connection point of pipe to boiler is. So really close. I've tried now with 4 different instruments, including one that WB guy brought with him) it's definitely accurate the readouts on that pipe. 53 tops or so, and each of the flow pipes on the rads is there...

When it's running at 100% it uses about 34kw hr

    Bypass valve

Hey @Johntheo5 I have yeah, it's back on setting 0 (relative to the burner) but also set the min to 80% max 100% as recommended by the WB technician. Though there definitely is something weird going on in the Hydraulic settings that's hugely inconsistent with the manual. Not sure if its a...

    Bypass valve

Update on this one @Johntheo5 @Madrab and any other people interested. Still having an issue with this WB Greenstar 8000 life system boiler where the LCD display read out is showing a good 15-20' hotter than the read out at the flow pipe and the rest of the system. The flow pipe gets hottest at...

    Balanced Flue Gas Fire Question

Yep, exactly right - I never did close the loop on this thread, but there is another post on this forum where I found all the roof and walls in this extension were incredibly shoddily insulated.... This has since been rectified Since then, this fire has proved to be more than adequate. it's...

    Bypass valve

ok thanks for that. In simple man maths ok thanks for that. In simple man maths.... if I want to further increase the pump speed from what i've currently got set. I need to buy an external pump capable of more than 700mbar? Do Grundfos ones do larger pumps than this? I presume it'd be best to...

In that equation.. where are you getting the 860 and 60 from? are they variables or static?

    Bypass valve

Yep… wondered exactly the same myself…. How can it be constant pressure if it’s modulating the output? And I wondered if that was actually a printing error on the manual… as that means at 100% on setting 0… it’s operating at 700mbar? Is there an easy way to test the flow rate / flow speed the...

    Bypass valve

Found a solve for this eventually, incase anyone ever gets stuck with the same thing. Had all the pipes inspected by a plumber, couldn't find a blockage anywhere or a wrongly connected pipe on the flow returns. Had the boiler serviced and ruled out of any blockages. Plumber suggested to me...

On id say average of 1.8m wide 60cm tall. Average 2.2k wattage per rad I’d say. Something like that

    Bypass valve

Should be I suspected as much… to my untrained eye it looks as though that’s been setup to be zoned… but I never did ask for that so I did think it was potentially non optimal running two unconnected parallel runs like that It should be relatively straight forward to connect them, it’s good...

    Bypass valve

I've tried to draw the layout from memory so it wont be perfectly accurate, but probably very close to this. Very thick lines - 28mm thick lines - 22mm thin lines 15mm Black square around rad9-12 are the triple column ones. I hav e wondered if the design of the layout could be a problem...

    Bypass valve

It’s only 2 years old the entire system only went in in late 2023, inc boiler and all pipe work So I’d be surprised… unless it was installed very poorly… which ofcourse I couldn’t say for certain either way
