    Hi Tony This is a load bearing wall above where the steel went in below. It is the beginning of the bedroom wall and leads into chimney breast. The plasterer also uncovered chimney breast and revealed very poor brickwork here and the lintel is removed. See pics

    Hi all We’ve now had the plaster ripped off so can see what happened behind. Big crack in actual brickwork. Waiting for structural engineer to come back to us but in the meantime any ideas of remedial work to make right? Thanks again everyone this has been really helpful
