    Thanks lostinthenight. Just thinking though, also don't want to flood the living room if routing the intake through the floor. Could waterproofing the intake pipe & routing it to above ground level once outside could be an option? Would there be an issue with high wind speeds with this setup...

    Don't know if it's a requirement but there's the risk of the heat recovery system drawing combustion air/smoke into the room under certain conditions and the recommendation is to install direct air to the stove (a Burley Bradgate Firecube). I'd rather not risk CO poisoning if at all possible...
