    Got it sorted now, the heating side if the control had blown but the hot water side was still working. Just replaced it and all is fine. Thanks for everyones help. Ian

    Ok had a plumber around and he confirms everything is ok with the boiler and switch. he sais its an electric fault. As i understand the stat controls the water pump, is this the next place to check?

    Damaged boiler with room stat?

    I have a baxi solo wm 30/4s and when replacing the room stat, wired it up wrongly. There was pop from near the boiler and the kitchen tripped out. Now the water still heats fine, but not the radiators and there is no power going to the room stat. Does anyone have any ideas??

    the only fused spur is switched, and if you turn that off the power to the heating controler goes off

    Right found my multimeter and none of the wires in the stat are live? Have i blown a fuse, were would it be?

    its a landis rwb200, 3 sets of wires going in the back

    yes there is a time clock, but i set it to boost so thats not an issue

    ELZ4742, The red in a chop block, and try the yellow with it to see if the boiler fires?

    cant get hold of meter, all the shops are closed now. Well with the red to live the yellow to call for heat it should work but doesnt. The water still heats and the boiler fired when you ask for water, just not heat. Cant see the wires in the back of the boiler either.

    No multimeter, but were would the fuse be? if taken the back off the stat, and the the pcb and the solders look fine.

    The make is a sunvic tlx4101, its only a very basic one. I have tried red to common and and the blue and yellow on both but it still doesnt seem to call for heat?

    not sure how they were connected in the old 1 im afraid. dont the colours on the wires indicate were they go?

    common, demand and satisfied. earth was wired on the old one, but not needed on the new one. these are on the stat not boiler. thanks
